The Sun Bowl hmm…
Been there done that, and according to other duck fans that appears to be the case with my mom. I'll have to ask her about that.
But you know it's not like I don't hear the rumors it's just that I'm to big to listen to them.
I don't know anything about Minnesota aside from they have a good running game. Well Oregon has a good run defense sooooooooooo, I'll go out on a limb and say DUCKS WIN.
On the topic of the BCS bullshit I think it should be mandatory for a team to win their conference championship to get into the national championship. If that was the case the ducks would have gone in 2001 and Nebraska would have not. Likewise this year that requirement would have set up LSU and USC for the national title and Oklahoma could have gone to something like the Rose or Fiesta bowl.
To avoid an upset during a conference championship game like they have in the SEC and Big 12 those conferences could just ditch those and do it like the Pac 10.
However, do you think Dr. Pepper would like to lose its hold on the Big 12 game? Not fucking likely.
So as in the case with everything else, money talks. I don't expect any reasonal changes to the championship system anytime soon.
