Add it all up … and Adam's still a bitch

Looking back on my season's predictions I came in at 7-5, BOWL ELIGIBLE!!!!
I've got to admit I could have just been Ducks Win! each time, but where's the fun in that? I called 'em as I saw 'em. I seriously thought they wouldn't win against Cal, but THANK GOD they did. Even by pulling it out in the fourth quarter, something they hadn't even come close to doing earlier in the season.

And that I think was the best game of this season. It really turned everything around and set the stage for wins at fUCkLA and the Beavers. It's too early yet to make a prediction for a bowl game, but in the Sun Bowl, I'd put my money on the ol' ducks.

This upcoming week I find myself in the odd position of rooting for Shithead So. Cal bitches to pile it on OSU.
I spent 15 minutes in Astoria talking to some OSU asshole who no matter how much I reminded him that Jackson didn't do shit and Anderson sucked and Siegler couldn't stop our running game or even catch Clemens on the run(!), HE STILL SAID OSU PLAYED THE BETTER GAME!!!!!!!!!???????? Wah da fuck?

Just goes to show you, Beavers ARE as stupid as they are stubborn.

I too...

...have taken note of the stunning lack of posts on this blog following the Ducks' momentous win. I rarely post anything here because I never have anything worthwhile to post but I'm still here posting so all the regular posters out there should get off their duffs and start posting some friggin' posts and that means you, Danimal.

Uh, yeah.

The Ducks did indeed "go" on Saturday so...gone Ducks, gone!

Ducks Win! Ducks Win!! Ducks Win!!!

Come on, has no one else in the Loop noticed this huge win yet? If you somehow were not paying attention, then let me now enlighten you:

DUCKS WIN!!!!

What's So Civil About War Anyway?

Of all the stupid things Axl Rose ever said, "I don't need your civil war" has to be right up there. Who needs a civil war? What, is he kidding? Everyone! Once a year! And in Oregon -- which stood on the Union side but wasn't all that involved -- especially!

Well, my fellow soldiers, I won't pull a Clinton and skip out entirely, but I may have to pull a Dubya and serve my time far from the battlefield. But serve I will. Or at least, I will be served drinks. Good enough for me!

Also: Is anyone else still watching the Ohio State-Michigan game? It just got to be one touchdown outside the range of being still possibly interesting. OSU -- of course, not the we'll be trouncing today -- has defied the odds all season, but they'll really have to screw the gods to get out of this one alive.

Oh, and it behooves me to add:

GO DUCKS!!!!

Smackdown?

You know I honestly find it hard to summon up any genuine anger at Adam, especially any to find it sufficient to kick his ass or drive an hour and a half to Longview to do it. He likes a horrible basketball team that I won't mention, and I don't. We traded immature barbs on a blog about Oregon Football. His were lame, mine skillfully crafted missiles of wit. For example I was going to post something today about how the Michigan/Ohio State game was going to be awesome because somehow Ohio always seems to find some way to score, like Adam who gets rejected by hos at one bar, then no one goes home with him from a gay bar, but finally he scores at a nursing home after coercing some of its residents into an intimate affair by stealing their medication. It may look ugly but Ohio State and Adam get the job done. Way to go!
So lets smokum peace pipe pancho …

Oh and GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DUCKS

Are You Ready To Rumble?

Seriously, what do I have to give to see a smackdown between Adam and Andrew? I'll be back in Oregon for the holidays, so we should try to schedule it for then. Or maybe we could get it on satellite?

I'm open to suggestions...

The South will Rise Again

For this Civil War the storylines are pretty clear, and to me the Ducks need to step it up on defense to make this war watchable.

The ducks need to do three things to win.
1. Stop Steven Jackson at the line, even if it's just to make him change direction and slow him down a little. The ducks need to get the pressure up front. Give that guy an open hole on the line of scrimmage and its 6 yards for sure, 25 quite possibly.
2. That being said, with OSU's running game limited the linebackers can put some pressure on Derek Anderson and as he leads the Pac 10 in interceptions they should be able to make him panic and throw some bad balls.
3. Let Clemens run the offense. He took command at Cal and fUCkLA so now Bellotti's got to let him do the same on Saturday. Fife, best of luck in that post graduation job search.

UO: 37
OSU: 31

That being said, the final component in UO's win on Saturday will be me putting in bold this:

GO DUCKS

Ah, Lousy Blogger

But it looks like someone's already deleted my inadvertant cross-post. (Thanks.) If you don't know who Tim Noah is, count yourself among the lucky. He does not play football, although I wouldn't mind seeing him maimed in a pile-up.

Thank you. Meanwhile, GO DUCKS!!! Prediction for the Civil War:

UO: 49
OSU: 48

No matter what, it'll be a good game. They (almost) always are. This year should be good -- nearly identical teams, etc. And with an Autzen setting, the edge should go to us. DDDDDUUUUUUUCCCCCKKKKKKSSSSS!!!!!!!!

P.S. In other NCAA football news, I had to laugh when I saw this story. Apparently Maurice Clarett is failing two classes, including phys ed. Ha! I'm just glad every time I fell asleep in class it didn't make national news.

P.P.S. Does the Clarett story remind anyone else of Andy Katzenmoyer? The only difference is, Katzenmoyer ended up passing his offseason classes...

Who the hell is Tim Noah?

Does he play safety for OSU? Is he Adam's secret man-love?

Sheeeeeeeeeit, GO DUCKS

The Civil War hype machine gets going

I seem to remember the Boregonian's columnist John Canzano getting ripped in this forum for a column on a horrible basketball team that I won't mention. Well, now he's gone and written some inexcusable piece of shit against the ducks that claims for some reason Oregon doesn't have a chance in this upcoming Civil War.
Let's not labor the point this man is a nincompoop who can't seem to be able to remove his mouth from Richard Seigler's cock.
Instead, I chose to view this as just some Civil War hype inspired by a Boregonian, sports editor. I wouldn't be surprised if columnist Bill Monroe, a staunch Duck supporter, doesn't come out with another column this week saying OSU doesn't have a chance.
Which they don't, of course.

And for no extra charge here's a prediction for Monday night:

SF: 38
PITT: 7

ARE YOU READY FOR THE 49ers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blazers: 112
Kings: 110

BLAZERS!

Sorry.

Quick pic

Ducks D stops the run, makes a few clutch pics.
Ducks O creates a run game and Clemens gets the ball to Day and Parker.

GO DUCKS

No, I will rise to the bait

Look I've never been a basketball fan, I thought maybe I'll pick the blazers when I moved to Oregon, look what that got me. Nothing but embarrassment.
I decided to make a point and not support the Blazers. I think the real Assholes are people like you ADAM that just act like wives in abusive relationships and just hope it will eventually get better. Well it won't. And you'll be a dumb sucker for a long time.
Now that's it, no more blazers bull shit, and this time for fucking real.

Hypocrite, asshole? Whatever

I'm not going to rise to the bait on some boring basketball issue.

One Early Indicator

So, I see the Ducks are wearing the so-called "highlighter" uniforms. I still theink they look ridiculous, but if they get the job done, who knows?

Herewith, my boldest prognistication to date:

UO -- 47,382
Cal -- .023

Drugs ARE cheaper in Canada, and pot is legal!

Dan, I can see your line of reasoning, but I stick by my guns I don't think there's anything worth being loyal to about the Blazers organization, players, front office or anything. The 49ers on the other hand obviously are a kickass team (SF: 30 Rams:10) who are just inconsistent.
Wait a sec, I'm talking Blazers, FUCK the Blazers.

Blazers? WHO CARES?????????????

Indeed, while they may be pitiful UO players at least don't take every opportunity to abuse the pathetic fools who pay for tickets to their games, and they also talk to the media giving their fans an insight into just why the suck so much unlike the Blazers. I wouldn't watch a Blazers home game if you paid me. For a while I liked the Kings but I'd root for the Blazers in the end. Now I'm all the way for the kings. Don't you Portlanders realize when it's time for you to finally say I'm not going to put up with this shit any longer, so the idiots in the front office finally make some changes????
Don't give me the "a good fan has to support the team" bullshit either, because nobody in their right mind could support those assholes who make up the Blazers.

Wow, I did not expect to write that much on them, but that's it I'm done. As for the Ducks I'm fed up as well. This week I predict them to lose. I don't want to, but I just believe the team has no spirit left in it. In this Cal game we're going to need a team that can come from behind, and I frankly believe that fight is no longer with UO.
I've finally come to the understanding that the 2001 season was the apex of the UO program and we've fallen into the trough, but the coaching staff doesn't seem to understand that. It will have to take a few losing seasons to crack through their concrete skulls. I hope that process can begin sooner than later. UO football needs major changes, and perhaps losing to Tedford's Bears will make Moos and Bellotti realize it.

This Saturday won't be pretty.

UO: 10
CAL: 38

So There

By way of revenge against Adam for ignoring my email, I went and looked up that John Canzano article. And I'm even providing a link to the story itself. If I didn't know better -- and I'm not sure I do -- I'd say Canzano is trying to get himself traded to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

P.S. Lest anyone forget, this is still primarily a forum for discussion of the Oregon Ducks. And though it may not be fashionable to say right now, I will say it anyway: GO DUCKS!!!

Return of the dark clouds of disillusionment

The best thing about Saturday night: Simpsons Pinball Party.

The worst thing: Overpriced and underfilled Tanqueray tonics.

Walking out before the third quarter is even finished was almost expected. I remember my girlfriend Christine saying "What's up with Washington?" in the first quarter with UO up 10 - 0 and replying "There's a lot of football left to play." I just wish Oregon had decided to keep playing with three quarters left.

The one and only redeemable aspect of that defeat was Cody Picket getting a concussion. But even that was somewhat negligble as his replacement then came out and scorched us.

At least next week I'll be in Eugene to watch Cal beat us.

There is some good news out there

Alas, it's only from the Dept. of Schadenfreude:

1. Nobody wants to buy Rick Neuheisel's house, and UW might sue him
2. OSU OT Brandon Lockheart is looking at a couple decades in federal prison

Come on, get happy!

Shiiiit.

I go step outside to take a phone call, Washington touchdown. I go take a piss, Washington touchdown. Bret goes off somewhere, Washington touchdown. Olly watches all of it come tumbling down. Add the terrible commentary by the TBS announcers ("He can score a home run on each possession!"), and you have one bad night by the Ducks.

I have a feeling my presence in the room is the only thing going for Oregon's defense. Next week against Cal, I'm just going to hold it in.

What I Think

I think Ted is a Communist.
